The Neurosurgery department at Maitri Hospital attends all types of trauma cases 24 by 7. The experienced Trauma team includes 3 Neuro Surgeons, 3 Orthopaedic Surgeons, 1 Plastic Surgeon, 1 Urologist, 2 Radiologists and 1 General Surgeon and 3 Gynaecologists. The Hospital also has a 24 by 7 facility for CT scans, Sonography and Digital X-rays. Blood products are available in the blood banks of adjoining hospitals.

All injured persons are attended to at the earliest. Most important is the availability of 3 state of the art Operation Theatres, ready to be used any time in case of emergency. Apart from Trauma, other Neurological surgeries for diseases such as Brain Tumours, Hydrocephalus, Spinal Tumours, Prolapsed Intervertebral Discs, etc. are also routinely performed. The Department’s main concern is to ensure immediate and proper care of seriously injured patients.
