Cardiology is a medical specialty involving the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disorders related to the heart and blood vessels. It can be divided into two major categories.

The first is non-invasive cardiology, which includes ECG, echocardiography, stress testing, and medical management of heart diseases. The other is interventional cardiology, which focuses on catheter-based procedures such as angioplasty, stenting, and other minimally invasive treatments.
While non-invasive cardiology aims to detect and manage cardiovascular conditions through clinical evaluation and imaging, interventional cardiology aims at treating structural and vascular problems to improve heart function and patient outcomes.

Both of these approaches are widely used to provide comprehensive heart care and enhance quality of life.
